A short time ago I had the opportunity to return to Antequera, municipality of Málaga, from which I never tire of returning.
Numerous are the resources that it has, a great monumental wealth, its churches, hermitages or its strengths.
But if there is a place you should not miss during your visit, it is undoubtedly the Dolmens of Antequera, which have been included in the World Heritage List by Unesco.
Considered one of the most valuable prehistoric sites in Andalusia.
They are stone blocks that form chambers and covered spaces. There are three that are preserved Viera, Manga and Romeral.

Among its monuments we could highlight its incredible Alcazaba, with a wonderful view of the place.
In the region they have been rest of Roman epochs, like mosaics, roads or the well-known “Efebo de Antequera”.
The Convent of San Francisco, whose construction was financed by the Catholic Kings, where different styles are mixed, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque.
The Royal Collegiate Church of Santa María and the Arch of the Giants are other of the most representative works of the Renaissance in the area.
For lovers of nature and Birdwatching is one of the most beautiful places with more variety of bird species, the Natural Reserve of the Laguna de Fuente de Piedra, which becomes a paradise for birds in spring.
